SELECT THE HOME FOR YOU

By now you have been on our waitlist and we should have been able to match you with the perfect home, even in advance of us starting any construction.

MEET TO FINALIZE THE HOME

At this “meeting of the minds” we get together to understand your needs, wants, and see if any modifications are needed to our original plans so everything is perfect. During this meeting we also determine price, and any special features.

ENTER INTO CONTRACT TO BUY

Once the basics are agreed upon, you sign an offer to buy the home, and the deal is now in attorney review period. During this phase the attorneys finalize all the paperwork and key terms, while Moksha Investments finishes specifying each and every detail of the house. We will not exit attorney review until the layout and measurements are finalized, and the spec sheet is detailed. The spec sheet includes every aspect of the house, right down to the model # of the appliances, and the budgets for tile, granite, etc. This process may involve our design and architectural team depending on the amount of customization needed, and usually lasts 10-15 days.

NEXT STEPS

Once everyone is 100% in agreement on everything, all parties sign off and attorney review is concluded. The deposit is due within 10 days after that, and remains in the non-interest bearing attorney trust account. Unlike other companies, we fully fund everything 100% ourselves, and do NOT build with your deposit moneys!

CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

CUSTOMIZE EXTERIOR

You choose how you want the home to look from the outside… everything from roof style and color, to siding, stone, and general appearances. We make the selection process easy or we can choose something that we know you’ll love.

FIRST FRAMING WALK THROUGH

After the walls and structure is built, you have your first walk through to preview the home before the drywall goes up and the wood frame is insulated and covered. This will help you get a feel for the home and layout.

INTERIOR CUSTOMIZATIONS

We customize everything including kitchens, baths, right down to the color of the paint and door knobs. Enjoy feeling like you’re on one of those TV home design shows as you just point at what you like and see it come to life in your new home.

PREPARE FOR CLOSING!

Your lawyer will typically guide you through the steps on everything from setting up utilities and insurance, to various other formalities.
At this time if you are getting a mortgage, the commitment should have been finalized.
All home inspections and other formalities have also been completed.

CLOSING DAY!

Congratulations, you are now officially the owner of your new dream home, with every inch built just the way you want it. Your lawyer and title company will arrange for all the filings and formalities with the State.

AFTER YOU MOVE IN

All you need to do is unpack! When you move in, everything is already included, from toilet paper holders to light bulbs.

Read important information about your appliances and register for various warranties such as appliance, roof, etc.

30 DAYS AFTER CLOSING CHECKUP

Stay in touch, we will visit 30 days after to see if you need any touchups anywhere.
